DNS Genie - DNS Changer Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 17 May 2024

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how DNS Genie - DNS Changer ("App"), developed by Fusion Bits ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information from you through the App. The App does not access or store any data that can directly identify you, such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.

VPN Permission and Functionality Clarification

The App requests permission to access your device's VPN settings. It's important to understand that DNS Genie is not a VPN app. While it requests VPN permission, it does not change your IP address or location. This permission is solely used to configure your device's DNS settings, allowing the App to connect to your chosen DNS server.

Use of Firebase and Google Analytics

Our App utilizes Firebase and Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. This data may include information such as app usage time, frequency of DNS changes, and selected DNS types. Importantly, we do not collect or associate any data that can identify individual users.

Google Analytics also collects IP addresses to determine approximate location, along with anonymized user behavior data. This information is used solely for internal purposes to enhance the App’s performance and improve the user experience.

Advertising

We are using Google AdMob on our site to display advertisements. AdMob, a Google advertising platform, uses cookies to collect anonymized data for delivering personalized ads. If you prefer, you can opt out of personalized ads at any time. To learn more about AdMob's privacy practices, please visit here.

Your Choices

You can disable the use of anonymized data collection by Firebase and Google Analytics by uninstalling the App. However, this might limit our ability to improve the App based on user behavior.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed towards children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has downloaded our App, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of any data we collect through the App. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
